He came to directing from inside the brands. At Ralph Lauren he was Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director. At David Yurman, Vice President and Creative Director. At Anthropologie, Executive Creative Director. He built and ran the in-house creative teams at each. It means he reads a brief the way a client does. He knows what a film has to do beyond looking good.
